Developing catalysts with suitable adsorption energy for oxygen-containing intermediates and elucidating their internal structure-performance relationships are essential for the commercialization of Li-O2 batteries (LOBs), especially under high current densities. Herein, NiCo2 O4 -CeO2 heterostructure with a spontaneous built-in electric field (BIEF) is designed and utilized as a cathode catalyst for LOBs at high current density. The driving mechanism of electron pumping/accumulation at heterointerface is studied via experiments and density functional theory (DFT) calculations, elucidating the growth mechanism of discharge products. The results show that BIEF induced by work function difference optimizes the affinity for LiO2 and promotes the formation of nano-flocculent Li2 O2 , thus improving LOBs performance at high current density. Specifically, NiCo2 O4 -CeO2 cathode exhibits a large discharge capacity (9546 mAh g-1 at 4000 mA g-1 ) and high stability (>430 cycles at 4000 mA g-1 ), which are better than the majority of previously reported metal-based catalysts. This work provides a new method for tuning the nucleation and decomposition of Li2 O2 and inspires the design of ideal catalysts for LOBs to operate at high current density.

Fei Xiaotong not only put forward the concept of the Tibetan-Yi Corridor, but also pointed out that it was an “ethnic area shaped by history.” How did the corridor form throughout history? After studying the ethnic flows of the Tibetan-Yi Corridor in history, this paper points out that there were mainly five trends in the area: 1. The Tibeto-Burman ethnic group migrating from north to south; 2. The Tubo eastward expansion and the process of “Fan-isation” in the north of this corridor; 3. The Mongolian southward migration; 4. the Mu chieftains and Yi northward expansion in the Ming and Qing Dynasties; 5. The Han pouring into the area in the Ming and Qing Dynasties until the Republic of China. Analyzing these trends, the author believes that the ethnic flows of these five large ethnicities have fundamentally shaped today’s ethnic patterns in the Tibetan-Yi Corridor. The study may help us understand the corridor as an “ethnic area shaped by history.”

Oriental hybrid lilies, known for their vibrant colors, diverse flower shapes, and long blooming seasons, require annual bulb propagation in horticultural production. This necessity can lead to higher production costs and limit their use in landscaping. The LA hybrid lily ‘Aladdin’ has shown strong self-reproduction capabilities in optimal cultivation environments, producing numerous high-quality underground stem bulblets. This makes it a valuable model for studying bulblet formation in lilies under natural conditions. Through transcriptome data analysis of different developmental stages of ‘Aladdin’ bulblets, the LaLBD37 gene, linked to bulblet formation, was identified. Bioinformatics analysis, subcellular localization studies, and transcriptional activation activity tests were conducted to understand the characteristics of LaLBD37. By introducing the LaLBD37 gene into ‘Sorbonne’ aseptic seedlings via Agrobacterium-mediated transformation, resistant plants were obtained. Positive plants were identified through various methods such as GUS activity detection, PCR, and fluorescence quantitative PCR. Phenotypic changes in positive plants were observed, and various physiological indicators were measured to confirm the role of LaLBD37 in bulblet formation, including soluble sugar content, starch content, sucrose synthase activity, and endogenous hormone levels.
